The filth in which I live...and snow!

So this is a bit of rant post but is long over due. I thought living in Sigma Kappa was bad enough. The girls were filthy they never picked up anything there was always open containers of food just sitting out. It was gross. But, I would move back in there in a second before living this way. Every morning I go in and sweep before breakfast, and have to sweep again while cooking dinner. I wash almost every dish I use before I use it because it is NEVER clean. Somehow "clean" in others eyes means food still visibly caked on the plates etc. EW. Also I have to clean every surface in the kitchen at least once a day because there is food everywhere. I'm talking door handles, stove, fridge, table, chairs, cabinets. Its crazy! I posted pics of before my cleaning on a typical day and after. I feel like I live with a bunch of toddlers who are forced to attempt to cook for themselves. I'm sure right about now my parents are screaming payback! haha But really this is insane! I can't wait to move back home and have normal roommates who have a decent level of cleanliness! oh and it is not uncommon to see the dirty dishes from the day before overflowing the sink and stacked on the stove...with food still stuck on them thats fun to try and get clean.

Also Claire our API director told us earlier this year that it has been 7 years since they have seen snow here in Ireland. Since I have arrived it has snowed 4+ times in 2 months! Thank you KS for allowing the weather to follow me lol. The snow actually stuck last night and the people here didn't know how to deal with it which is very entertaining. They canceled class last time it snowed and it didn't even stick! :) I love Irish people not understanding snow haha always good for a laugh.

Classes are over in less than a month yay!!

Ps! I forgot the one thing that made me the most angry dealing with the kitchen today.....I got GUM stuck on my foot in my own stinkin kitchen! thats supposed to be something that only happens outside on the streets and such but noooo someone can't be bothered to throw it away...I don't even like gum! :(
