Hey again. Sorry for the long time between posts! The weeks are pretty uneventful. Long walks to and from the store and classes. But yesterday a couple girls and I decided to go exploring around town. We had some bad luck in that it was pouring down rain all day with 50mph winds that broke all out umbrellas! So we were very wet and cold but decided to keep going since we had walked that far already. We went to ring the bells at Shandon Cathedral and go to the butter museum(which ended up not being open sad day). We also decided to treat ourselves to a meal out in the city. We went for lunch to save some money to a mexican restaurant. It really wasn't very good I will not be returning. But it was something new and I didn't have to cook! Ringing the bells was pretty awesome the other girls played you are my sunshine becuase it has been days since we have seen the sun around here, it just keeps on raining. We played a few other songs but I don't remember the names now. Then we decided to take the bus home because we were so wet and tired. It was a nice change and great to not have to walk back the 2 miles to our apartments.

I posted pictures on my photo site I linked to on here in an earlier post. All the albums are under "cork" in that folder there are links to the other sub folders on the left hand side.

We also went to the english market! It was amazing I've never seen so much meat in my whole life. it was like the meat counter at the grocery store at home time 30 not even kidding. and they had so many pastries and chocolates! I will have to go back and get some! The prices were also wayyyyy cheaper than what I have been paying at the grocery store. You could get a pound of ground beef for just over 2 euros! I payed over 5 at the grocery for a lil over a half pound. There are many pictures of it on the site!

The one food I have almost given up looking for here is mac and cheese I've been told by locals that no one eats it here and when it is sold its sold in a can...ew? Also anything premade. Like the section of us stores that have pilsbury items and place and bake cookies...ya they don't make anything like that here. Or snack foods its either crackers, biscuits, or chips. But it is an experience thats for sure.

Thats about all the news I have as of now I'll post back when I have more news! :)
