So I have seen the sun a total of 2 days in the past 2 weeks. I don't know how people live like this. I practically take 2 showers a day...one in my tiny thing they call a shower and the other outside walking to class haha. I miss the sun! At least at home even if its in the single digit for temperature at least the sun attempts to tease you into thinking that it is moderately nice outside. Yesterday was a day that it was sunny. I was thrilled so much so that I decided while in class a mile from home...that it would be a brilliant idea to walk to the grocery store in the city. Not only for a change of pace but also since I was most the way there already. However...I forgot the walk back was 2 miles and I was going to have to carry everything I bought. I will never make that mistake again lol. And my good friend the rain decided to come for another visit while I was walking home...I had to hide my excitement beneath my broken umbrella. Ps my umbrella handle is at a 45 degree angle because the winds here are crazy as well! But alas it is another adventure that I will never forget even on the most simple everyday things. On the bright side meals are looking very exciting because I've started to buy more than pb&j fixins.
I have also rearranged my room so that I am sitting in front of the heater pretty much 24/7 anymore or I'm in bed with my computer stretched across the room. They don't believe in rooms being warm here. They think 70s are hot so heaven forbid a room be that warm as well. But practically laying on the heater is seeming to be the answer. But now I am off to class again in the rain...go figure couldn't have guessed that one right? The idea of playing in all the puddles I come across has started to get dull and old which is very sad lol.
Oh and last night being the college student I am, I was feeling to lazy to cook all the food I so painstakingly carried home. I went to the convenience store down the road. I got a fresh chicken and cheese panini and it was the most amazing thing I have eaten since I arrived here. I'm sure it was really terrible in all actuality, but to me I didn't have to cook it or clean up so it was amazing! I still want planet sub like there is no tomorrow! come on you should all know nothing beats psub for me :)

Caitlin-keep up the blogging. Rain or no rain, it sounds wonderful and I'm sure you're having the time of your life.
ReplyDeleteNow, when I get cold (and it sounds like you are), I like to find a good-looking guy with strong arms to wrap around me and keep me warm. Being that you're in Land of the Hot Guys, I'm sure you can find a few of them!
Have fun, sweet girl!
