Sorry it has been a few days! We have lost power a lot and when there is no power we have nothing no water, heat, Internet etc. Any who classes have started already they are interesting. No homework or anything and you don't have to buy any books. 80% of your grade generally is based on your final in may. The end of term is march 27th lol can you believe it!? I cooked successfully for the first time last night! The event of cooking was far more exciting than what I cooked. I stopped by the convenience store(not like ones back home this has fresh produce and everything only its crazy expensive) and got some chicken and I borrowed some potatoes off my roommate. So I had chicken and mashed red potatoes. No seasonings in the house yet though so very very bland. But I have a mile walk to and a mile walk home from the grocery store so I can only carry so much at a time. Plus you don't get bags here like in the states. You either bring one of your own or carry it in your hands. Once I get stocked up on staples the meals should get more exciting!
I am trying to upload pictures but it is being terribly slow. Once they are up they will be here http://s12.photobucket.com/albums/a212/accidentallynlove05/Cork/

I know it looks weird but they don't use numbers here they have streets and the buildings all have names so do the houses...very odd. You don't need an apt number or anything because it gets sorted alphabetically in the main office.
Ill leave you with some interesting things Ive discovered. University events typically involve alcohol purchased by the school for the students. It rains almost everyday here but is below or close to freezing but the grass is still bright green and the flowers are still blooming. Nothing is on time...one hour to the rest of the world is 2 days to ppl here. The bus is def never on time nor reliable or cheap. I walk about 5-6 miles a day if i try to go anywhere besides my apartment. And finally its really fun to sit in the lobby when the power goes out sharing food with your neighbors who managed to cook food before the power went out again.
